Done with this anime after this episode. I don't want to deal with that kind of pain again for the time being. I was too emotionally invested in wanting March to live a long and happy life.

Why did machi die at the end šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ’”
I wanted her to live with parona And fushi for a long time
And her wish to become adult has not achieved but at least she became a mother for fushi

This episode fell flat for me personally, was never really into March's character so I didn't get emotional.

And there's the emotional manipulation I've been expecting ever since March was introduced in episode 2. From the start, her fate was obvious, and in truth I'm simply surprised it took four episodes to get to this point (though the death flags this episode became aggressively obvious). Her case also wasn't helped by just how incredibly annoying she was throughout the show, though even then that brief flash to what could have been if she survived was truly sad, as was Parona being so utterly broken about it as to consider suicide. At least, in the end, March was able to save her through Fushi. Still probably didn't have the emotional punch it wanted to for me, but it was more impactful than I expected considering how little I actually cared about March as a character.

Did Hayase really need to survive, though?

It was a mistake to watch Higehiro and Fumetsu consecutively this week... my depression levels are through the roof. Well, that's the second time I've been jebaited by an OP, well done. Fuck, I thought we were gonna see March grow up and become the mother she wanted to be, fuck. At least Parona was able to survive, besides Fushi, she's probably my favorite character. I hope she'll live a happy life now and not waste the second chance that March/Fushi gave her. Definitely gonna start reading the manga now, for more pain.

Fushi's facial expressions were amazing. Hayase is still alive, fuck. Parona definitely missed on purpose, she couldn't kill her despite everything that happened. Hayase was just lowkey crazy before, but now she's just unhinged damn, she's a good villain. She's probably gonna chase Fushi through the ends of the earth. Really looking forward to the next episode! I'll probably be caught up with the manga by then lmao.

If this is how they're gonna portray every partings then I will be bawling my eyes out everytime. March's VA did a great job bringing out her character to the truest sense. Gonna miss her so much.
When someone asks me why I like anime, I'd say Just Because.

I really wasn't attached to March but it still saddens me to think about the great potential of her character if she would have lived. Really well-crafted episode can't wait for the next one. I would prefer the narrative to showcase Fushi's journey though with less dramatic scenes in the future episodes.

March was so blooming innocent sad to see what happened to her. Fushi's mother might not be with him anymore but her memories with him will surely live on. This anime doesn't really give anything, anyone that we feel a slight connection to is poofed out of existence, but does show how fragile life truly is.

Did he turn into march at the end or was that just an after image like an ideal?

he can turn into someone close to him upon their death.... so yes he turned into march

Yeah, same with Onugme and the white haired kid from the first ep, was just wondering whether that was like a visage, as in March is walking with her back to the camera as though she's passing on and the fruit being eaten properly signifies how Fushi will never forget what she taught him, something like that! Like something artistic with meaning if ygm

This was an incredible episode, even better than the first one for me. I've grown attached to March in just four episodes and it really hurt me seeing her go like that, I'll miss her cheerful spirit.

This anime has a lot of potential to become one of my favourites and t's one of the best things I've seen in a while.

Jesus, this anime really isn't pulling it's punches with the character death and trauma. I love it but damn, this level of emotion I'd expect from a last episode of a classic 12ep anime, not every odd episode.
Well, I applaud it, if it goes on like this then 10/10 absolutely.

"Come at me, dog."

*BIG BEAR PAW PIMP SLAP*

I laughed so hard and replayed that scene over and over. Then I cried like I'd just lost a close family member when March died, and Parona's grief.

Has Hayase developed some kind of sick obsession with Fushi? Crazy bitch!

At the risk of sounding callous, I didnā€™t find Marchā€™s death to be very sad. I thought she was kind of annoying, so I felt that her death was really played out in an attempt to try to make the audience cry. I also thought that Parona was acting really strangely this episode too. Just in general this episode was not very great.

Meh episode for me.

The plot conveniences and random shounen comedy really killed the impactfulness for me for the most part, if not entirely. The execution may have been on point, but I wasnā€™t impressed even then because of the aforementioned. The story didnā€™t handle March in a way that make me care about her specifically and frankly I only feel kinda bad for her misguided parents. If this show is this much reliant on emotional exploitation and manipulation without much of a decent foundation to it other than the main theme of Fushiā€™s story (to carry the will, image, and legacy of those passed away that heā€™s interacted with), then thatā€™s not a particularly good sign. Hopefully the next episode will make up for things, though.

These kind of comments are always so funny to me in this forum, because it's like you're so out of touch with 99% of the viewers but you still talk as if the show is really failing in something when in the end everything you said is just subjective and the fact that nearly every person here is praising the entire episode, it means that everything you said the show is failing to do, its actually doing pretty right.

Really no ofense, but is just funny kkkk

I spent the first minutes hoping the little girl diead to give the MC some development, then I hopen the older girl died too to raise chances of deveopment.

Not for one second I was sad about them risking their life

Not necessarily. People are easy suckers for emotional manipulation and exploitation and automatically are like ā€œmasterpieceā€ or something similar. If this had more going for it other than just the idea of Fushi developing and carrying othersā€™ legacies through time, I would give it more credit. Regardless, Iā€™ve seen too many other baseless sob stories to really be impressed, so this is more of indifference to put it most leniently.
There are good merits to the show, at least, but not quite enough for me. If you think my comment is funny cause it stands out from almost everyone else, thatā€™s not my problem. If the show is supposedly doing things that I think itā€™s doing wrong, right, then thatā€™s also subjective, cause itā€™s still an opinion in the end. And the common opinion here is that this show has been doing everything right, and my views simply donā€™t align with it.

Don't want to be a dick but the OP straight up spoiled March's fate. Just saying.

Anyways, still a pretty decent episode overall. I usually end up becoming an ugly mess when it comes to little girls dying but this time, I didn't feel particularly moved. Guess I was more interested in Fushi's development and the surreal fact of Hayase still being able to follow Parona and co. despite having been massacred by "Oniguma" mere minutes ago.

So in the end, it seems March's spirit managed to make contact with Fushi in order to stop Parona from committing suicide and given that he can now adopt her form as well, I assume we will be seeing "March" again anytime soon.
